Originally from Bellingham, WA, Emily Reppun studied horn at Roosevelt University's Chicago College of Performing Arts under the instruction of Dale Clevenger and Alice Render.
She performs as a substitute with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony, Pacific Symphony, and Pageant of the Masters, and as acting principal with the Monterey Symphony, Fresno Philharmonic, Redlands Symphony, Hollywood Chamber Orchestra, and Riverside Symphony. Recent highlights have included several solo horn appearances in Beverly Hills with Seth MacFarlane in 2016 and 2017, "The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses" at Comic-Con in 2015 and 2016, the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and John Williams in 2016, and Christmas performances with Mannheim Steamroller since 2015. She has appeared on national television on “The Voice” and with Rihanna, Kanye West, Rickey Minor and Christina Aguilera. Emily is a regular member of the Golden State Pops Orchestra and Long Beach Municipal Band.
Emily performs on a 1976 S.W. Lewis horn and a 1966 Conn 8D H Series, as well as Wagner Tuba, mellophone, and a variety of Tibetan horns.
