Emily Reppun, horn, hails from Bellingham, WA and began studying with Dale Clevenger at the Marrowstone Music Festival in Port Townsend, WA in the summer of 1997. In 2002, she moved to Chicago to study full time with Mr. Clevenger at the Chicago College of Performing Arts.
A versatile performer, Emily first got a taste of the world outside classical music during a commanding Bellingham High School talent show performance of the Theme from Shaft as arranged by classmate Bear McCreary, who has since gone on to score Battlestar Galactica. She has played with the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra, Golden State Pops "Big Band Style," and the Kim Richmond Concert Jazz Orchestra, as well as the University of Washington Husky Marching Band and Vintage Brass of Long Beach, CA. More "legit gigs" have included the Seattle Youth Symphony, Puget Sound Symphony, Chicago Classical Symphony, Santa Monica Symphony, and Southeast Symphony.
She currently lives in Santa Monica, CA and performs regularly with the Golden State Pops Orchestra, LA Chamber Players, Observatory Orchestra, No Boys Aloud Horn Quartet, Lucky Man Woodwind Quintet and Santa Monica Symphony Woodwind Quintet, as well as maintaining a busy freelance & teaching schedule. She is a frequent horn soloist at Grace Lutheran Church in Culver City, CA.
