Hiring a freelance horn player or private horn teacher can be a nervewracking experience. Often armed with only a business card or a friend's reference, you hit "Send" on your e-mail or the green button on your phone, crossing your fingers that the horn player you are about to hire will turn out to be mediocre at best.
("How do you make a trombone sound like a french horn? Stick your hand in the bell and play a bunch of wrong notes.")
Based on my background,
comments I've received from conductors, audience members, contractors
and fellow horn players, and the amount of repeat calls I receive, I
believe that once you have hired me for the first time, I'll be a permanent
fixture in your address book!
I've developed this website to provide information about myself which I hope you will find helpful in determining whether to contact me to teach horn lessons, substitute in your orchestra or ensemble, or perform freelance work in the greater Los Angeles area. So look around, have fun, and drop me a line! In addition to the references on my site, I would be happy to provide any additional references you may require.
